A new career, especially when you’re as long in the tooth as I am, is fraught with risk. It can also be perfectly exhilarating regardless of success or failure. If committed to writing, such journeys can serve as a sort of road-map for those who undertake the journey after and those who are considering such a journey in the future as they travel their own roads. I therefore felt compelled to document my won journey.
